Workamping Letter of Understanding

The following letter is a somewhat sanitized version of an actual Workamping Letter of Understanding we received from an employer during the acceptance process. We will not take another workamping job without obtaining this important document. Although not legally binding, it makes clear what is expected of employer and employee.

Sample Workamping Letter of Understanding

Your workamper positions will begin DATE and lasts until DATE. The site we have reserved for you is approximately 30’ x 50’ and has 30 and 50 amp service.

 You will each work 5 hours per day, 3 days on and 3 days off; couples work the same days.  Compensation includes a full hookup site, water, sewer, and $100 electric credit. In addition, we offer free cable TV, wireless internet, propane, laundry and a 15% discount at the camp store.

Typical duties for her include:

Cashiering, stocking shelves and keeping the store/office clean.

Assisting guests checking in/out of the campground for day-use and overnight camping using computer based registration

Processing electrical and rent payments, sorting incoming mail.

Guest relations and general administrative duties

Typical duties for him include:

General repair and renovation of the park structures, as needed

General upkeep of the resort grounds

Pumping propane, assisting guests with utility hook-ups when needed

Assisting with various projects including carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs

When you return this signed agreement, we will consider this job to be filled and will be counting on you to report as scheduled.
